Born in Chicago, IL, Cindy grew up in Tennessee. She moved to Mobile, AL in 1970 at age 13 with her family.

Cindy's first career was as an upholsterer after graduating from Southwest State Technical College (now Bishop State's Southwest Campus). She went on to pursue an Associate and Bachelors degree in Human Resource Managment from Faulkner University.

After achieving her Bachelors degree in Human Resource Managment Cindy decided to pursue a career in couseling because she was passionate about helping families with marital difficulties and substance abuse.

Cindy attended Amridge University (formerly Southern Christian University) in Montgomery, AL and received her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Cindy is in good standing with the Alabama Board of Marriage and Family Therapists as an Associate MFT.

Cindy is also a member in good standing with the Anxiety Disorders Association of America.

Cindy is now working on her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and hopes to begin the dissertation phase soon.

She also holds a state certification as an Addiction Professional from the Alablama Alchol and Drug Abuse Association (AADAA).  She is also and internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor (ICADC) as attested to by  AADAA.

Cindy is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, an associate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists .

She  currently serves on the Quality Assurance Committee of the Department of Human Resources for Baldwin County. Cindy also works to promote small businesses within the community in various networking groups such at the Baldwin Business Council and the Eastern Shore Business Alliance and the Women Who Mean Business.

Cindy is a member as well as a speaker of the Mobile Area Council on Addictive Disorders (MACAD). She has also worked as a trainer with the Southern Coast Addiction Technology Transfer Center (SCATTC) for their Buprenorphine programs. Cindy is also recruited by Reckitt Benckiser Pharmaceuticals Inc. to train medical facilites, nurses and physicians about Rx pain pill dependency and Suboxone.

Cindy is a therapist on staff at Eastern Shore Neurology & Pain Center with R.M. Tarabein M.D.  as well as with Dr. Gregory Funk in Gulf Shores, AL. Cindy is also on staff with the Summerdale Church of Christ as a therapist.

Cindy worships with the Eastern Shore Church of Christ , using the Bible in therapy as often as the client desires.
